List of All Normal Egg Pals and Where to Farm Them
Every Pal that hatches from a Normal Egg in Palworld: all 31 Common Egg Pals, the exact per-nest odds in all 12 pools that produce one, and the 4 you can only breed.

The Normal Egg — the plain white shell the game itself calls the Common Egg — only ever holds a Neutral Pal, and there are exactly 31 of them that can be curled up inside. This guide lists every one, the nest pools that actually produce Common Eggs with the per-nest odds, the four Pals whose eggs never appear in the wild, and the fastest way to hatch a pile of them.
Common Egg: Quick Facts
Egg colour is decided by element, not luck. Any Pal whose primary element is Neutral comes in a Common Egg, which is why this pool is packed with the starter Pals you meet in the first hour and also holds two of the strongest mounts in the game. Twelve of the fourteen wild nest pools can roll one, and the two Grasslands pools sitting closest to most first bases are the two best sources on the map.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Item | |
| Also called | Normal Egg — the plain, colourless shell |
| Item type | Material — Pal Egg |
| What hatches | Neutral Pals only |
| Pals in the pool | 31 — 27 from wild nests, 4 breeding-only |
| Sizes | Common Egg · Large Common Egg · Huge Common Egg |
| Weight | 10 · 25 · 50 by size |
| Stack size | 1 — every egg eats a full inventory slot |
| Gold value | 10 |
| Nests on the map | 1,816 total; 12 of the 14 pools can produce a Common Egg |
| Best nest pool | Grasslands Grade 1 — 23.55% per nest |
| Nest respawn | 180 minutes (3 hours) |
| Hatching | Any incubator; the basic Egg Incubator unlocks at Technology level 10 |
That 23.55% is the number worth remembering: roughly one nest in four in the Grasslands grade 1 pool is a Common Egg, and Grade 2 is barely behind at 20.20%. Clear every nest in the game in one impossible sweep and you would come home with about 119 Common Eggs, and 65 of those come from the Grasslands alone. Nothing else in the pool list gets close — Mount Obsidian's 240 nests only pay out at 3.14% each.
All 31 Normal Egg Pals
Here is the complete list, in Paldex order, with the best nest pool for each one. Six of them — Lamball, Cattiva, Chikipi, Vixy, Cremis and Melpaca — only ever come out of Grasslands grade 1 nests, so the pool you can reach at level 10 is the one that fills your ranch. At the other end, Hartalis and Paladius sit in the same egg as Lamball despite being two of the best mounts in the game; their eggs simply never spawn in the wild.
| Pal | No. | Rarity | Partner Skill | Where Its Egg Comes From |

Dogen | 155 | 6 | Homeward Prayer | Sakurajima · 1.77% |

Lapure | 170 | 4 | Long-Sleeved Hurray | Sunreach Isle · 6.07% |
Hartalis | 197 | 10 | Sacred Barrier | Breeding only |
Paladius | 198 | 20 | Holy Knight of the Firmament | Breeding only |
Note the four Primo variants and the late Paldex entries: Tetroise Primo at 12.35% in a Feybreak grade 2 nest is the single best per-nest roll any Common Egg Pal has anywhere, better than four times the odds on any Grasslands Pal. Celesdir is the opposite case — 0.69% is the worst roll on this page, but it sits in Feybreak's grade 1 pool, which has 496 nests, so a full loop still averages about three of them.
Which Nests Give Common Eggs
Every nest belongs to one of 14 pools, and the pool decides the Pal list. The column that matters is the third one: the chance that a single nest in that pool turns into a Common Egg rather than a coloured one. Grasslands grade 1 and 2 win outright, and because they also hold the most nests of any Common-Egg-friendly pool, they are where you go if you want the shells specifically. Two pools — Grasslands grade 4 and Mount Obsidian grade 2 — contain no Neutral Pals at all, so they can never give you one.
| Nest Pool | Region | Nests | Common Egg Chance | Pals It Can Give | Eggs Per Full Sweep |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grasslands G1 | Grasslands | 125 | 23.55% | 11 | ~29 |
| Grasslands G2 | Grasslands | 144 | 20.20% | 7 | ~29 |
| Sakurajima | Sakurajima | 36 | 15.03% | 4 | ~5 |
| Feybreak G2 | Feybreak | 71 | 12.35% | 1 | ~9 |
| Sunreach Isle | Sunreach Isle | 39 | 12.14% | 2 | ~5 |
| Desert | Desert | 122 | 11.63% | 2 | ~14 |
| World Tree | World Tree | 30 | 9.25% | 4 | ~3 |
| Grasslands G3 | Grasslands | 146 | 4.80% | 2 | ~7 |
| Mount Obsidian G1 | Mount Obsidian | 240 | 3.14% | 1 | ~8 |
| Snowfields G1 | Snowfields | 110 | 3.06% | 1 | ~3 |
| Snowfields G2 | Snowfields | 161 | 1.72% | 1 | ~3 |
| Feybreak G1 | Feybreak | 496 | 0.69% | 1 | ~3 |
| Grasslands G4 | Grasslands | 26 | 0% | 0 | 0 |
| Mount Obsidian G2 | Mount Obsidian | 70 | 0% | 0 | 0 |
The Pals column adds up to more than 27 because several Pals sit in two or three pools at once — Tocotoco appears in three of them. Nests are split by grade on the map rather than by region, so open the layer that matches the pool you want: Grade 1 nests (1,168 in the main world plus 30 in the World Tree), Grade 2 nests (446 pins), Grade 3 nests (146, all Grasslands) and Grade 4 nests (26 pins). One caveat for the World Tree: those 30 nests roll a separate 10% chance to become an Ominous Egg instead, which shaves a little off the Common Egg figure above.
Grasslands Grade 1 Nests
Eleven of the 31 live here, all on the same flat 2.14% roll, which is the single most useful nest route in the early game — it covers the whole ranch roster in one loop. There are 125 of these nests and they are the ones you can reach without a flying mount or cold resistance. The alpha column is the separate chance the same Pal hatches as its boss-sized version instead.
| Pal | Hatch Chance | Alpha Chance |
|---|---|---|
Lamball | 2.14% | 0.11% |
Cattiva | 2.14% | 0.11% |
Chikipi | 2.14% | 0.11% |

Nitewing | 2.14% | 0.11% |
Grasslands Grade 2 Nests
Seven Pals at 2.89% each, and the list is trimmed to the more useful half: Eikthyrdeer for logging, Nitewing for your first flight, Direhowl for an early ground mount. This pool has the most nests in the Grasslands at 144, so on raw output it matches grade 1 despite the slightly smaller Neutral share. If you want Galeclaw or Woolipop from an egg, grade 2 is the only pool that offers them.
| Pal | Hatch Chance | Alpha Chance |
|---|---|---|
Eikthyrdeer | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Direhowl | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Nitewing | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Ribbuny | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Galeclaw | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Woolipop | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Tocotoco | 2.89% | 0.09% |
Every Other Pool
Outside the Grasslands the Neutral entries thin out to one or two per pool, but the individual rolls get better because the pools are smaller. The Desert's 5.82% on Tocotoco and Killamari Primo is nearly triple a Grasslands roll, and Feybreak grade 2 is a four-Pal pool, which is why Tetroise Primo clears 12%. Feybreak grade 2 also carries the wildest alpha rate on the whole map at 1.23% for that one Pal.

| Feybreak G2 | Tetroise Primo | 12.35% | 1.23% |

Lunaris is the one to notice: it is the only Common Egg Pal in four different pools, spread across Mount Obsidian and both Snowfields grades, so it is far and away the most common Neutral hatch once you leave the starting region. A full clear of those four pools averages nearly 16 Lunaris eggs, more than any other Pal on this page.
The Four Normal Egg Pals No Nest Will Give You
Four of the 31 have no entry in any nest lottery, so the only way to hold their egg is to breed for it. Two of them are the reason people care about this egg type at all: Hartalis is the fastest ground mount in the game at 1,900 sprint speed, tied with Necromus, and Paladius is right behind at 1,800 with the highest defence of any Neutral Pal at 145. Both are exclusive combos that only accept themselves as parents, so you need two of the Pal before you can ever produce its egg.
| Pal | Rarity | How to Get Its Egg | Why Bother |
|---|---|---|---|
Hartalis | 10 | Hartalis × Hartalis only | 1,900 sprint — joint-fastest ground mount in the game |
Paladius | 20 | Paladius × Paladius only | 1,800 sprint, 145 defence, 130 HP — the tankiest Neutral Pal |
Kingpaca | 8 | Ordinary breeding, e.g. Cattiva × Beakon | 120 HP and a level 23 alpha are its only other sources |
Fenglope | 3 | Ordinary breeding, e.g. Beakon × Yakumo | 1,050 sprint from a rarity 3 Pal, and only 11 wild spawn spots |
Kingpaca has no ordinary wild spawns at all — the only one walking around the map is its level 23 alpha — so breeding is genuinely the practical route rather than a shortcut. Fenglope does spawn in the wild, but across just 11 spots, and its level 25 alpha is a fight rather than a capture. Both take normal parent pairs, so you can slot them into a breeding rotation without hunting a second copy first.
Best Normal Egg Pals to Hatch
A nest roll gives you what it gives you, but these are the ones worth restarting a route for. The two mounts at the top are breeding-only, so in practice Lunaris is the best thing a nest can actually hand you: its Antigravity partner skill adds up to 600 to your maximum carry weight, which is triple Cattiva's 200 and the largest carry buff of any partner skill in the game. If you are hatching for base work rather than combat, that one Pal changes how you play more than anything else here.
| Pal | Rarity | Why It's Worth Hatching |
|---|---|---|
Hartalis | 10 | 1,900 sprint ground mount and 135 HP, the highest of any Neutral Pal |
Paladius | 20 | 1,800 sprint with 145 defence — the durable end of the Neutral roster |
Lunaris | 6 | +600 max carry weight at max level, the biggest carry buff in the game, and it appears in four nest pools |
Starryon Primo | 8 | 1,250 sprint plus a jump boost — the fastest mount you can pull from an actual nest |
Celesdir | 6 | 1,200 sprint mount with an HP-regen partner skill, from Feybreak's 496-nest pool |
Tetroise Primo | 8 | 140 defence, a Mining specialist, and the best per-nest odds on this page at 12.35% |
Grintale | 6 | Glaring Cat's Eye adds up to +75% extra-egg chance, which pays for itself on a ranch |
Nitewing | 3 | The only flying mount in the pool, and it hatches from level-10-accessible nests |
Cattiva | 1 | +200 carry weight from a rarity 1 Pal — the strongest first-hour pick in the game |
Mimog | 7 | 130 defence on an XS body and Master of Unlocking for chest runs |
Nitewing deserves a specific call-out because of when you get it: it is the only flier in the Common Egg pool, its saddle unlocks at Technology level 15, and it hatches out of the same Grasslands nests you are already looting at level 10. Hatching one early skips a lot of walking. Grintale is the sleeper — a Sakurajima-only 4.42% roll, but the extra-egg bonus stacks with a ranch full of Chikipi.
Normal Egg Pals That Work the Ranch
Eight of the 31 drop items when assigned to a Ranch, and between them they cover wool, milk, eggs and cloth — which is most of the early crafting economy. This is the real reason the Grasslands grade 1 route matters: six of these eight hatch from that single pool, so one nest loop can stock a base that never needs a supply run for wool again.
| Pal | Ranch Product | Nest Source |
|---|---|---|
Lamball | Wool | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Cremis | Wool | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Melpaca | Wool | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Chikipi | Egg | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Mozzarina | Milk | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Vixy | Random dug-up items | Grasslands G1 · 2.14% |
Woolipop | Cotton Candy | Grasslands G2 · 2.89% |
Sibelyx Primo | High Quality Cloth | World Tree · 2.31% |
Sibelyx Primo is the one worth flying for. High Quality Cloth is normally a crafted material, and having a Pal that simply produces it on a ranch removes a whole production step from your late-game gear and furniture builds. It only comes from World Tree nests, so it rides along with an Ominous Egg route rather than needing its own trip.
How to Get Normal Eggs
Two sources, and they answer different questions. Nests are how you get eggs in bulk without caring which Pal is inside; breeding is how you get one specific Pal. Most players do both — run nests while the Breeding Farm chews through a targeted pair in the background.
Loot Nests in the Open World
Nests sit out in the open, usually on cliff edges, ridgelines and hilltops, which is why a flying mount roughly doubles how many you clear per hour. Each nest respawns 180 minutes after you take the egg, so the sane loop is: clear a whole region, go do something else for three hours, come back. Weight is what ends a run early — eggs never stack, and ten Huge eggs alone are 500 weight, so bring a carry-weight partner like Lunaris or plan two trips. Open the Grade 1 and Grade 2 nest layers together and the Grasslands route plans itself.
Breed Two Neutral Pals
Put two Pals of opposite gender in a Breeding Farm with a Cake in the chest and you get an egg whose type follows the child, not the parents — so any pairing that lands on a Neutral Pal produces a Common Egg. The farm unlocks at Technology level 19 for 2 Ancient Technology Points. Most of the 31 come out of ordinary combi-rank maths you can plan on the Palworld Breeding Calculator, but eight of them are exclusive combos that ignore those rules entirely.
| Pal | Exclusive Parents | Alternative Pair |
|---|---|---|
Killamari Primo | Killamari × Ribbuny | Two Killamari Primo |
Sibelyx Primo | Sibelyx × Lapure | Two Sibelyx Primo |
Starryon Primo | Starryon × Celesdir | Two Starryon Primo |
Tetroise Primo | Tetroise × Celesdir | Two Tetroise Primo |
Celesdir | Gildane × Eikthyrdeer Terra | Two Celesdir |
Mimog | Two Mimog — no other pair works | — |
Hartalis | Two Hartalis — no other pair works | — |
Paladius | Two Paladius — no other pair works | — |
The pattern is worth understanding before you waste cake: every Primo variant needs its base form paired with a specific Neutral partner, and the four Pals at the bottom of the table are self-only, meaning you must already own two before breeding is even an option. Celesdir is the useful link in that chain — it is a parent for two different Primo variants and it hatches from Feybreak grade 1 nests, so catching or hatching a pair of those unlocks a lot of the rest.
Alpha Rolls From Nests
Every Pal in a nest pool has a second, much rarer entry for its alpha version, and alphas hatch with a bigger body and a higher level than a normal capture. For Common Egg Pals the rate is usually between 0.07% and 0.21% per nest depending on the pool, which works out to roughly a 1.21% chance that any given Grasslands grade 1 nest gives you an alpha. Feybreak grade 2 is the outlier at 1.23% for Tetroise Primo alone, easily the best alpha-from-egg odds any Neutral Pal has.
How to Hatch a Normal Egg
Nothing about a Common Egg is special at the incubator — drop it in and wait. The basic
Egg Incubator costs 10 Paldium Fragment, 5 Cloth, 30 Stone and 2 Ancient Civilization Parts, and unlocks at Technology level 10 for a single Ancient Technology Point. What the upgrades buy is throughput, which is the only thing that matters when you get home with thirty eggs from one Grasslands loop.
| Incubator | Tech Level | Why Upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | One egg at a time, no power — fine for your first Common Egg | |
| 36 | Regulates its own temperature, but draws 200 power | |
| 48 | Several eggs at once on zero power — the real breakpoint for nest routes | |
| 58 | Bulk hatching, at 800 power draw | |
| 76 | Folds breeding and hatching together and improves rare skill carry-over |
Hatch length is a world setting rather than a fixed number, and the difficulty preset multiplies it directly. Easy halves every timer, Normal is the baseline, and both Hard and Hardcore double it — so the same Common Egg that pops in a few minutes on Normal is a real wait on Hardcore. Custom worlds expose the same multiplier, so if you are farming a specific Pal it is worth turning down before you start.
| Difficulty | Hatch Time Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Easy | 0.5× — half the normal wait |
| Normal | 1× — the baseline |
| Hard | 2× |
| Hardcore | 2× |
Summary
Thirty-one Pals hatch from a Normal Egg, and 27 of them come out of wild nests. The Grasslands grade 1 pool is the best source in the game at 23.55% per nest and covers eleven of them, including every ranch Pal worth owning early. Everything else is a regional pick-up: Tetroise Primo from Feybreak at 12.35%, Valentail and Lapure from Sunreach Isle, Lunaris from anywhere cold or volcanic. The four best Pals in the pool — Hartalis, Paladius, Kingpaca and Fenglope — never appear in a nest at all, so those come from the Breeding Farm or not at all.
