List of All Legendary Pals: Locations and How to Get Them
Every Legendary Pal in Palworld — where Jetragon, Frostallion, Frostallion Noct, Necromus, Paladius, and Neptilius spawn, their levels, the Legend passive, and the only breeding combos that produce them.

Six Pals in Palworld carry the Legend passive, and they're the strongest catches in the game — every one is a level 60+ field boss with a guaranteed 30% element damage boost baked in. This guide covers where all six spawn, what they drop, and the one quirk of legendary breeding that catches everyone out.
All 6 Legendary Pals at a Glance
The spread tells you the order to hunt: four of the six sit at level 60, Frostallion Noct raises the bar to 65 on No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, and Jetragon caps the list at 70. Necromus and Paladius sharing one desert spawn means your hardest trip also pays double — plan that one last among the 60s.
| Pal | Element | Level | Where It Spawns |
|---|---|---|---|
Jetragon | Dragon | 70 | Mount Obsidian, the volcanic zone far south on the Palpagos map |
Frostallion | Ice | 60 | The Astral Mountains in the frozen far north |
Necromus | Dark | 60 | The Desiccated Dunes in the northeast, same spot as Paladius |
Paladius | Neutral | 60 | The Desiccated Dunes in the northeast, same spot as Necromus |
Frostallion Noct | Dark | 65 | No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary |
Neptilius | Water | 60 | Iceberg islet waters in the northeastern sea |
Where to Find Each Legendary
Jetragon — Level 70
The hardest fight and the best prize. Jetragon waits at Mount Obsidian in the far south of the map at level 70, and beating it hands you Soralite, a Thermal Core, and a shot at a Diamond and a Large Pal Soul. It's also the single fastest mount in the game by a huge margin — nothing else comes close to its sprint. Check the full mount speed rankings to see the gap for yourself, and its exact spawn pin is on the interactive map alpha layer.
Frostallion — Level 60
Frostallion roams the Astral Mountains in the frozen far north at level 60. Pack cold-resistant armor for the trip, and bring a Fire team for the fight — it drops Ice Organs and a chance at a Diamond. Its icy steed partner skill makes it one of the best Ice attackers you can ride.
Necromus and Paladius — Level 60, Together
The twin knights share one spawn point in the Desiccated Dunes, the northeastern desert, so you're walking into a 2-versus-1: Necromus (Dark) and Paladius (Neutral) at level 60 each. That's also why the in-game map shows a single boss marker for the pair. Split them up or burn one down fast — both drop Hexolite, Diamonds, and Large Pal Souls, so the double fight pays double.
Frostallion Noct — Level 65
Frostallion Noct is the boss of No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, prowling at level 65. Sanctuaries are restricted zones — get spotted and you're flagged for trespassing — so land away from patrols and pick your moment. It's also the only legendary with a second breeding recipe — if you already have Frostallion, you can skip this trip entirely and breed Noct at your base instead.
Neptilius — Level 60
Neptilius patrols the iceberg islet waters in the northeastern sea at level 60 — bring a fast swimming or flying mount, because the whole fight happens on open water. It drops a pile of Coralum Ore and Hexolite every kill, plus a 30% chance at a Diamond.
The Legend Passive and Innate Boosts
Every legendary comes with two guaranteed passives you can't roll on anything wild: Legend (+20% Attack, +20% Defense, +20% Movement Speed) plus a personal element boost. That floor is why they top the Pal tier list — and why breeding extras to stack more passive skills on top is worth the effort.
| Pal | Innate Passives | Boost |
|---|---|---|
Jetragon | Legend + Divine Dragon | +30% Dragon damage |
Frostallion | Legend + Ice Emperor | +30% Ice damage |
Frostallion Noct | Legend + Lord of the Underworld | +30% Dark damage |
Necromus | Legend + Lord of the Underworld | +30% Dark damage |
Paladius | Legend + Celestial Emperor | +30% Neutral damage |
Neptilius | Legend + Lunker | +20% Water, +20% Ice, +20% Defense |
How Legendary Breeding Works
Here's the quirk: no regular breeding combo ever produces a legendary. The only way to breed one is with the legendaries themselves:
The rules:
- Two of the same legendary always breed another one — so one caught pair becomes a passive-farming production line
- Frostallion Noct is the lone exception: Frostallion × Helzephyr also produces it
- Everything else at the breeding farm follows the normal rules — plan pairs with the breeding calculator
