Mountain Stream Grotto Guide: Pals, Bosses, and Loot

Mountain Stream Grotto is the forest-region cavern — a repeatable dungeon whose entrances rotate around the woodland cliffs, packing level 20–23 Pals with a level 27–29 boss room at the end. It's a great mid-game loop for spheres, Silver Keys and skill fruits. Here's exactly what spawns inside, which boss you might draw, and what the chests hold. These roam the corridors at level 20–23 — dark types dominate, so a Dragon Pal tears through most of this roster. Jelliette swims in the grotto's ponds.

The Boss Room Pool
Each run ends in a boss chamber holding one oversized boss Pal from the pool below at level 27–29, usually flanked by two normal companions of the same species. Beat it and the exit chest can pay out Technology Books — including Ancient Technology Books.

Treasure and Pickups
The chest pool here is classic mid-game sustain: Mega and Giga Spheres to keep catching, Training Manuals to level the bench, and Medical Supplies for free healing between fights. The one item to actively hunt is the Silver Key — locked chests inside the grotto are where the better rolls hide, and leaving without a key wastes them.
