Sticky in both senses, and clingy with it: resistance only makes it hold on harder. That, apparently, is what counts as 'personality.'

How to Get Tarantriss
Tarantriss is Dark, so a Dragon attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Tarantriss spawn between level 20 and 58. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it middle of the road: take the health bar down first and aim for its back.

Tarantriss Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Tarantriss once yields the Tarantris Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Tarantriss Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Tarantriss properly.

Wild Tarantriss roam at level 20–58 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Tarantriss
Tarantriss spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Sealed Realm of the Mystic (56.5% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Gobfin's Turf and Mossanda Forest. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Tarantriss Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Tarantriss turns up inside 2 caverns, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
the boss chamber fight is level 56–58, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 20–55.
