Impure water turns its white ribbon black, and that made it valuable enough as a poison detector to be hunted to excess. The Pal has held a grudge against humanity ever since.

How to Get Azurobe
Azurobe can be fished up rather than fought — 8 wild spots of the small kind hold it, at level 10–55. The alpha turns up on the bigger spots, so a rod can hand you one without a fight. Once you have a Fishing Pond at base it shows up there too — 4.8% per catch in the small pool, which is the hands-off way to farm one.
Azurobe is Water / Dragon, so an Ice or Electric attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Azurobe spawn between level 35 and 80. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.

Azurobe Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Azurobe once yields the Azurobe Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Azurobe Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Azurobe properly.
Wild Azurobe Level Range
Wild Azurobe roam at level 35–80 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Azurobe
Azurobe spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Sealed Realm of the Swift (18.1% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Isle of Decayed Treasures and Mossanda Inner Coast.
