Raw meat is the preference, well-done is what it always gets: the blistering claws it fights with cook the prey through, and it hasn't figured out that this is happening.

How to Get Blazehowl
Blazehowl is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 35–40, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Blazehowl is Fire, so a Water attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Blazehowl spawn between level 30 and 80. A level 80 one resists far more than a level 30; catch cheap first, then farm the high spawns for condensing.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.

Blazehowl Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Blazehowl once yields the Blazehowl Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Blazehowl Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Blazehowl properly.
Wild Blazehowl Level Range
Wild Blazehowl roam at level 30–80 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Blazehowl
Blazehowl spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Mount Obsidian - Midpoint (53.6% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Wildlands Floodgate and Emberstone Plateau.
Blazehowl in Base Raids
Blazehowl shows up in one raid group that attack your base, at level 35–39 around the Mount Obsidian. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Blazehowl Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Blazehowl turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
