How to Get Rayhound
Rayhound is Electric, so a Ground attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Rayhound spawn between level 31 and 58. A level 58 one resists far more than a level 31; catch cheap first, then farm the high spawns for condensing.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.

Where to Find Rayhound
Rayhound spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Loess Plains (27.2% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Icy Weasel Hill and No Man's Trail. They come in groups of up to 2, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Rayhound in Base Raids
Rayhound shows up in 3 raid groups that attack your base, at level 13–26 around the Desert. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Rayhound Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Rayhound turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
