Rank among Polapups goes to whoever slides fastest over the snow, and a leap with too much force behind it sends one tumbling out of the sky. It happens often enough in territorial season that the forecast runs clear skies with a chance of flying Polapups.

How to Get Polapup
Polapup can be fished up rather than fought — 12 wild spots of the small kind hold it, at level 20–60. The alpha turns up on the bigger spots, so a rod can hand you one without a fight. Once you have a Fishing Pond at base it shows up there too — 8.6% per catch in the medium pool, which is the hands-off way to farm one.
Polapup is Ice / Water, so a Fire or Electric attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Polapup spawn between level 33 and 45. Higher-level ones are markedly harder to hold — take a low one first and come back for the rest when you are stacking a condenser.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.

Wild Polapup roam at level 33–45 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Polapup
Polapup spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Feybreak Shipwreck (11.2% of known spots), with smaller pockets near The Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight and Azure Cliffs. They come in groups of up to 4, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Polapup Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Polapup turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
the boss chamber fight is level 42–45, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 39–44.
