The assumed kinship with Ragnahawk doesn't exist. It drops on prey beak-first in a motion quick enough to pass for a lightning strike.

How to Get Beakon
Beakon is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 42–48, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Beakon is Electric, so a Ground attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Beakon spawn between level 30 and 80. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it middle of the road: take the health bar down first and aim for its back.

Beakon Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Beakon once yields the Beakon Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Beakon Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Beakon properly.
Wild Beakon Level Range
Wild Beakon roam at level 30–80 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Beakon
Beakon spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Duneshelter (20.4% of known spots), with smaller pockets near PIDF Tower Entrance and Desert Backbone. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Beakon in Base Raids
Beakon shows up in one raid group that attack your base, at level 37–39 around the Grasslands. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Beakon Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Beakon turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
