How to Get Vanwyrm
Vanwyrm is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 30–35, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Vanwyrm is Fire / Dark, so a Dragon or Water attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Vanwyrm spawn between level 20 and 63. Higher-level ones are markedly harder to hold — take a low one first and come back for the rest when you are stacking a condenser.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it middle of the road: take the health bar down first and aim for its back.

Where to Find Vanwyrm
Vanwyrm spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Crimson Cliffs (15.4% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Emberstone Plateau and Oilfield Overlook. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Vanwyrm in Base Raids
Vanwyrm shows up in 2 raid groups that attack your base, at level 13–31 around the Grasslands and Mount Obsidian. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Vanwyrm Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Vanwyrm turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
