How to Make Cake: All Recipes and Effects — Palworld Database

Breeding in Palworld runs on cake — no cake in the Breeding Farm's chest, no egg. But the game now has five different cakes, and the fancy ones do a lot more than feed the lovebirds: twin eggs, easier mutations, better passive inheritance. Here's every cake, what it actually does, and what it costs to bake.

Every Cake Compared

Each cake tier targets a different breeding goal, so the one to bake depends on what you're chasing: Vegetable Cake at Tech 47 doubles your egg output per session, the Extravagant version at 60 fishes for mutations, and Special Cake at 74 is the passive-inheritance tool for endgame breeding lines. Plain Cake stays relevant forever as the cheap default that simply gets eggs made.

All five go in the same Breeding Farm chest — the difference is what the resulting egg gets:

CakeEffect on the eggTechRecipe
CakeA dish eaten during celebrations.×5 ×8 ×7 ×8 ×2
Mushroom CakeThe talents of the resulting Pals will grow slightly more easily.30×5 ×5 ×3 ×8 ×2
Vegetable CakeLay eggs twice at once.47×8 ×8 ×7 ×8 ×4
Extravagant Vegetable CakeMutations are more likely to occur, and talents will grow more easily.60×12 ×8 ×10 ×6 ×8
Special CakeMore likely inherit multiple passive skills from their parents.74×20 ×8 ×15 ×15 ×2

Which Cake Should You Bake?

For casual breeding, the plain Cake does the job. Chasing perfect passives for an endgame squad? The Special Cake is the one — better odds of the egg inheriting multiple passive skills from its parents, which is exactly what you want when pairing up combos from the breeding calculator. The Vegetable Cake's two eggs at once is the best value for mass-hatching sessions, and the Extravagant Vegetable Cake is your mutation hunter.

TipEvery cake needs Flour, and most want Milk, Eggs and Honey — all ranch produce. A Farming Pal lineup of Mozzarina, Chikipi and Beegarde on a Ranch keeps the cake pipeline running itself.
