In a healthy one, the lava along its back flows smoothly; poor living gradually degrades that circulation until the flow clogs and it detonates without warning.

How to Get Moldron
Moldron is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 35–40, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Moldron is Fire / Ground, so a Water or Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Moldron spawn between level 32 and 80. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.

Moldron Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Moldron once yields the Moldron Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Moldron Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Moldron properly.
Wild Moldron Level Range
Wild Moldron roam at level 32–80 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Moldron
Moldron spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Mount Obsidian - Midpoint (54.5% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Bicornis Islet. They come in groups of up to 2, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
