How to Get Pengullet Lux
Pengullet Lux can be fished up rather than fought — 12 wild spots of the small kind hold it, at level 10–54. The alpha turns up on the bigger spots, so a rod can hand you one without a fight. Once you have a Fishing Pond at base it shows up there too — 7.6% per catch in the medium pool, which is the hands-off way to farm one.
Pengullet Lux is Water / Electric, so an Electric or Ground attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Its capture rate is 0.9, which makes it harder to hold than the average Pal — several attempts is normal, not bad luck.
Check the clock before the sphere tier. All 653 mapped spawn spots for Pengullet Lux sit in night tables and none of them sits in a day table, which makes it one of only thirteen Pals in the game whose entire wild footprint is after dark. The plain Pengullet works the same beaches on both shifts, so a daylight run over exactly the right sand still turns up the wrong Pal — the variant simply is not in that table.
Thirst's End is the statue to warp to. 108 of the 653 spots — roughly a sixth of everything the Pal has — sit within 600 m of it, the nearest about 100 m out and the largest single knot of 54 spots around 106 m to the south-east, so one landing puts you inside the hunt rather than walking toward it. Arena Entrance and Desiccated Coast each hold 90 spots inside the same radius and land you closer to the first one, 65 m and 103 m respectively, which makes them the better pick if you want to start throwing the moment the loading screen clears. For a run with nothing else on the island to distract the spheres, the Isle of Decayed Treasures statue has 36 spots around it and the first sits 28 m from your feet.

It is the cheapest Generating Electricity rank 2 in the game and nothing is close. Every other Pal that reaches rank 2 or better on the generator eats at least two food units; Pengullet Lux eats one, the floor. The only other one-unit electric workers are Sparkit and Jolthog, and both cap at rank 1. It also carries Watering, Handiwork and Transporting at rank 1 alongside it, so a single food unit buys four jobs — the base Pengullet you probably caught first trades that generator rank away for Cooling 1.
For Electric Organ it is the widest-spread guaranteed source anywhere. Twenty-three Pals drop the organ at 100%, and none of them is mapped to as many spawn spots as this one's 653 — the runner-up is Beakon at 504, a rarity 6 flyer you will fight rather than farm. One or two organs per kill against a Power Generator's cost of 20 means a single night sweep of one beach covers the build, and the Accumulator that stores what it makes wants another 20.
