Using Precious Pelt Well

Nothing crafts with it — no recipe, schematic, structure or tech unlock consumes Precious Pelt, exactly like Precious Claw and Precious Plume. There is no build later on that will want it back, so a stack should never survive past your next merchant visit. Note that the shop rows on this page are what a merchant charges to sell you one, not what one buys back for, so hauling pelts between vendors is not an arbitrage.

The 6-8 tier is where a repeatable route lives: Foxcicle, Reindrix, Kitsun and Wumpo all have fixed overworld alpha points, so you can chain them and come back on the next respawn. Hartalis pays the same 6-8 but has no field location — it is a one-off raid summon, not a farm stop.

Below that, Kingpaca Cryst (5-7) and Kingpaca (3-5) also lack a fixed overworld alpha point, which leaves Sweepa at 5-7 as the best field alpha in that bracket, backed by Mammorest, Mammorest Cryst, Sibelyx and Wumpo Botan at 5-6.

You do not need late-game gear to start: the low alphas around the opening regions still pay out every time. Arsox gives a flat 3, Chillet and Katress 2-4, and Rooby, Nox, Herbil and Daedream 1-3. Four cheap alphas you can delete in one magazine beat one long fight against something that costs you a full loadout.

All 85 drop entries are boss-flagged kills, so the table is a list of alpha fights rather than a list of species. A wild Foxcicle or Reindrix you shoot in the overworld drops nothing, and catching one gives nothing either — only the alpha version of the Pal, whether that is the field boss on its fixed point or the boss at the bottom of a dungeon. With every rate sitting at a flat 100%, the only thing that changes between fights is how many pelts fall out.
