Once it has prey in sight, it lets loose a torrent that sweeps the whole area clean. The prey usually gets carried off in the flood as well, which makes it debatable whether any hunting occurred.

Wild Faleris Aqua spawn between level 56 and 80. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.

Beating the boss Faleris Aqua once yields the Faleris Aqua Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Faleris Aqua Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Faleris Aqua properly.

Faleris Aqua spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
