Laser Sword
Weapon · WeaponMelee4★Beam Sword forged from Soralite Ingots. Its high-output energy blade cuts a target the instant it connects, at melee range.
Laser Sword is the strongest melee weapon in the game by attack, at 2,400.
It feeds no other recipe, which makes it a terminal item: craft what you will actually carry and stop there.
Details
At 10 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 2,898,530 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.
Laser Sword Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 675 materials across 5 types, and the bottleneck is almost always the 500× requirement — line that up first and the rest follows.
Where to Find Laser Sword
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is sea base enemy camp boss stashes in the Feybreak at 0.7% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
The sea base camps are the whole answer, and only one of them counts. Six regions have an enemy camp built out on the water, but the Laser Sword schematics sit in exactly one of those pools: the camp off Feybreak, and only in the stash the camp boss guards. Clearing the ordinary crates there gives you nothing for this weapon — the reward is entirely in finishing the camp. That stash carries just two grades, Schematic 3 at 17.95% and Schematic 4 at 0.72%, so a little under one clear in five hands over a sword schematic of some kind.
Chase the Epic, not the Legendary. Five schematics of one grade fuse into one of the next at the Ancient Workbench, so five Schematic 3s are a Schematic 4 — but the Feybreak stash pays out twenty-five Epics for every Legendary it rolls. Farming the Epic and fusing is five times faster than waiting on the direct roll, and nothing else on the list is close. Converting every route to what it is worth in finished Legendaries: 4.31% per Feybreak sea base stash, 0.52% per tier 5 treasure map dig, 0.37% per Sunreach treasure chest, 0.30% per Sunreach camp crate, 0.24% per Sunreach camp boss stash, 0.12% per ordinary Sunreach chest and 0.08% per fished treasure spot. The sea base is eight times the next best thing in the game.
If you are stuck on Sunreach, read the headline numbers as far better than they look. Four of the five Sunreach pools space their grades exactly five times apart, which is precisely what fusion charges, so a Schematic 1 out of a chest is worth every bit as much toward the Legendary as a Legendary pull would be — a treasure chest up there is really a 0.37% shot, not the 0.094% its top line shows. The camp boss stash breaks the pattern by over-weighting the lowest grade, and the tier 5 dig breaks it the other way: it drops Schematic 1 entirely and spaces its three grades only two and a half times apart, making it the most top-heavy roll for this weapon and the only one you have to supply yourself. Beyond containers there is nothing — no Pal drops any grade of this schematic, no merchant stocks it and no expedition returns it.
Using Laser Sword Well
The recipe hides most of what it costs. Six AI Cores are ten Soralite Ingots each, so the true ingot bill is 160 rather than the 100 on the list, and that is 320 Soralite plus 320 Pure Quartz through an Ancient Blast Furnace before you touch the sword itself. The same detour doubles the batteries: the thirty Computers inside those cores want two Bio Batteries apiece, taking the real total to 120 against the 60 shown. Each core also swallows an Ancient Civilization Core, which despite the name is a different item from the nine Ancient Civilization Parts on the sword's own list and comes from somewhere else entirely — oil rig crates, recycled relics, or a Silvance or Dandilord kill, each of which drops one every time. The 500 Paldium Fragments look like the wall and are the easiest line on the sheet; the Soralite chain is the one that decides whether you can build this today.
Attack is not the reason to want this grade. Going from the plain craft to the Legendary buys 400 attack, a fifth more, but durability runs 1200 to 4800 — four full multiples, on a weapon that spends durability every time you connect with something. Two other things worth knowing before you commit the materials: the schematic has to be in your own pockets when you walk up to the Ancient Workbench, because one sitting in a base chest will not put the build on the menu, and the top grade carries 112,000,000 crafting work, thirty-two times what the schematic-free version costs to put together and the highest figure any recipe in the game reaches.
Every Tier of Laser Sword
The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: attack runs 2000 to 2400, a 1.2x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.
| Rarity | Item | Attack | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0★ | Laser Sword | 2000 | 1200 |
| 1★ | Laser Sword | 2100 | 1800 |
| 2★ | Laser Sword | 2200 | 2400 |
| 3★ | Laser Sword | 2300 | 3600 |
| 4★ | Laser Sword (this one) | 2400 | 4800 |
Schematics That Unlock Laser Sword
The Technology tree hands you the plain Laser Sword at level 73 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The fastest route is sea base enemy camp boss stashes in the Feybreak, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Laser Sword schematic works out at roughly 23 containers against the 139 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 4★ | Feybreak sea base camp stashes, Treasure map digs (tier 5), Sunreach Isle treasure chests +4 more — best 0.7% (grade 5/6) |
Alternatives and Upgrades
Nothing in the melee weapon class beats it on attack. The next one down is Laser Sword at 2,300, so if you are still using that, this is the upgrade worth the materials.
