Plasma Rifle
Weapon · WeaponAssaultRifle4★Each hit from this rifle sets off an electrical discharge at the impact point, and the current jumps on to several more enemies.
Plasma Rifle is 7th of 70 assault rifles by attack, at 2,232 against the 15,000 of Charge Rifle.
This is where the crafting chain ends — nothing downstream consumes it, so a stockpile earns you nothing.
Details
It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot. At 8,280,050 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.
Plasma Rifle Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 300 materials across 5 types.
Where to Find Plasma Rifle
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is fishing in the World Tree at 0.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
Using Plasma Rifle Well
Only the Ancient Workbench builds any Plasma Rifle, and that bench is Pal-exclusive — you cannot walk up and crank it yourself, so the entire craft runs at the Handiwork rank of whoever you assign. It unlocks at Technology level 67, costs 50 Soralite Ingot, 5 AI Core and 20 Bio Battery, and draws 2,000 power. The schematic itself has to be in your inventory when the bench menu opens; a copy sitting in a base chest adds nothing.
Work on the Legendary is 112,000,000 against 3,500,000 for the researched Plasma Rifle you get at level 78 — thirty-two times the labour. The jump to Uncommon costs 4x and every rarity step above that doubles it. Materials cannot buy that down and neither can extra bench count on one item, so stack the base with your highest Handiwork Pals and queue it when you are logging off rather than when you need the gun.
The Legendary build is the researched recipe doubled — 160 Paloxite Ingot, 100 Bio Battery, 16 AI Core, 14 Ancient Civilization Core against 80, 50, 8 and 7 — plus one line the tech tree version never asks for: 10 Ancient Civilization Parts. Every schematic-built tier wants them, from 7 at Uncommon upward, so the craft you have grinded a hundred-plus fishing casts for can stall on a material you have had no reason to stockpile. Bank Parts while you are still hunting the schematic.
Feeding it costs more than building it. Plasma Rifle Ammo comes 20 to a batch for 1 Bio Battery, 3 Paloxite Ingot and 2 Soralite Ingot at 300,000 work, also on the Ancient Workbench, so topping up the Legendary's 46-round magazine once is 690,000 work. Five magazines out-labour crafting the researched rifle outright. Run ammo in long overnight queues; do not craft it in the gaps between fights.
No pool hands you the Legendary schematic often, but every lower tier is 5-to-1 fuse fodder, so the honest way to rank a route is to convert all four rungs into Legendary-equivalents per pull. Ordinary fishing spots in the World Tree pay 7.93%, 3.63%, 1.13% and 0.36% down the ladder, which works out to 0.80% of a Legendary per catch — one on average every 125 fish. The World Tree's treasure fishing spots look richer and are not: 0.44% per catch, about 230. Tier 5 treasure map digs come to 0.26%, near 384 digs. Recycling Glistening Ancient Relics, the best relic grade for this gun, is 0.083% — roughly 1,200 relics — and every duller grade is worse again. Plain World Tree water beats everything else by a factor of two, and relics should be treated as a bonus rather than a plan.
Every Tier of Plasma Rifle
The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: attack runs 1860 to 2232, a 1.2x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.
| Rarity | Item | Attack | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0★ | Plasma Rifle | 1860 | 25000 |
| 1★ | Plasma Rifle | 1953 | 37500 |
| 2★ | Plasma Rifle | 2046 | 50000 |
| 3★ | Plasma Rifle | 2139 | 75000 |
| 4★ | Plasma Rifle (this one) | 2232 | 100000 |
Ammunition Plasma Rifle Uses
Plasma Rifle fires Plasma Rifle Ammo, and nothing else — running dry mid-fight is the usual way this weapon lets you down, so keep the recipe unlocked before you rely on it.
| Ammo | Yield | Craft cost |
|---|---|---|
| ×20 | Bio Battery ×1, Paloxite Ingot ×3, Soralite Ingot ×2 |
Schematics That Unlock Plasma Rifle
The Technology tree hands you the plain Plasma Rifle at level 78 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The fastest route is fishing in the World Tree, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Plasma Rifle schematic works out at roughly 125 containers against the 275 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 4★ | fishing in World Tree, World Tree fishing treasure spots, Treasure map digs (tier 5) +5 more — best 0.4% (grade 1/5/6) |
Alternatives and Upgrades
Step up from here and you get Single-Shot Rifle at 2,310 attack; step down and it is Plasma Rifle at 2,139. How far apart those two sit tells you whether to spend now or keep what you have.
