Hexolite Armor

Armor · ArmorBody4

Armor plated in Hexolite, with durability and defense far beyond the norm.

Hexolite Armor is 24th of 145 body armours by defense, at 754 against the 1,092 of Cold-Resistant Ancient Armor.

Wearing it also carries the effects Cold Resistance Lv. 2, Heat Resistance Lv. 2, Attack Up (S) Lv. 4, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.

No recipe takes it as an ingredient. Whatever you build is the finished article, so there is no reason to hoard spares.

At 40 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 552,720 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Hexolite Armor Crafting Recipe

Work: 32000000

Crafting it takes 167 materials across 4 types.

Where to Find Hexolite Armor

The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is sea base enemy camp loot in the Feybreak at 2.1% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.

Sea base enemy camp loot is the route, and reading its two rates separately undersells it badly. The container pays the Legendary schematic at 2.119% and the tier below it at 10.593% — an exact five-to-one — and since both come out of the same pool you are collecting the fuse material while you hunt the copy. Counted in finished Legendaries that is 4.24% a container, roughly 24 of them, where either tier read on its own says 47. The pool also skips the bottom two grades entirely, so nothing that drops out of it is filler. Then the camp pays a second time: the boss stash at a sea base hands over a tier 5 treasure map on 100% of clears, as do the land camp bosses on Sunreach Isle, with Sakurajima land camps at 50%.

The dig everyone points at is the smaller half of that trip. A tier 5 map rolls this schematic at 0.595%, the tier below at 1.486% and the one under that at 3.716%, and never the Uncommon, which converts to about 1.04% of a finished Legendary per dig — near enough 96 digs. Against 4.24% a sea base container, one map is worth about a quarter of one container, so maps are what falls out of the camps you were already clearing rather than a plan of their own. Bank every grade you pull: because those three tiers sit on a clean five-to-one ladder, the Rare copies are worth almost exactly as much in the fusion bench as the Legendary is in the drop.

Every other route is an order of magnitude behind, and converting the fusion ladder puts them in an order the raw rates do not. Per container, in finished Legendaries: Feybreak supply drops 0.48%, Feybreak treasure chests 0.41%, ordinary Feybreak chests 0.15%, crates on the large oil rig 0.125%, fishing the Feybreak treasure spots 0.06%, rank 2 wreck salvage 0.056%. That is around 210 supply drops, 243 treasure chests or 803 rig crates for one copy — a single sea base camp container is worth 34 trips to a crate on the rig. All of these pools run the same flat five-to-one ladder across all four schematic grades, which is why the low-rarity copies are never junk: each grade in the pool contributes an identical share of the eventual Legendary.

Using Hexolite Armor Well

Attack Up (S) is what the schematic is really selling. The Technology-tree craft carries no attack passive at all, and the four schematic grades step it Lv. 1 through Lv. 4, so this is the only Hexolite chest piece that adds damage to your own hits. The bill is steep: 7 Ancient Civilization Parts the plain craft does not ask for, double its materials at 100 Hexolite, 40 Plasteel and 20 High Quality Cloth, and 32,000,000 work against 1,000,000 — thirty-two times the labour for one body slot. Queue it on the Production Assembly Line II with your best Handiwork crew and leave it running. What you get for the wait beyond the stat line is staying power: 80,000 durability is the highest of any body armour in the game outside the Legendary Ancient set, above even a 3-star Ancient Armor at 75,000, so this is a piece you repair rarely rather than one you rebuild.

If a Cold Resistant, Heat Resistant or Lightweight Legendary schematic has also dropped, build that one instead. All three reach 780 defence for the identical 7 Ancient Civilization Parts, and they add a resistance tier plus an element resist or the carry-weight passive on top. What they cost is materials you can farm — 20 Cryogenic Coolant, 5 Thermal Core, or another 100 Hexolite and 20 Corrosive Solvent — and 35.2 to 38.4 million work instead of 32 million. The plain version's only real edge is that extra 8,000 durability, since all three specialised Legendaries stop at 72,000. Inside the family there is no middle ground either: at 754 this beats every non-Legendary Hexolite of any flavour, because the 3-star specialised copies top out at 720, so the only upgrade here is another Legendary.

Know when to stop paying for it. The Ancient Armor technology at level 68 makes an 800-defence chest piece with no schematic, no Ancient Civilization Parts and 500,000 work — it beats this outright for one sixty-fourth of the labour, off 30 Soralite Ingot and 3 AI Core. A Legendary Ancient Armor is 1,040 defence and 100,000 durability for 9 parts and 16,000,000 work, which is half the labour of this piece for a third more armour, and the Lightweight Hexolite line at 38,400,000 work is the single most expensive body armour to build in the game. So the honest window for a Legendary Hexolite runs from the Hexolite tech at 59 to Soralite becoming available, and the parts are better spent here than on an intermediate grade — fusing five schematics costs only schematics, while every build you make burns Ancient Civilization Parts you cannot farm on demand.

Every Tier of Hexolite Armor

The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: defense runs 580 to 754, a 1.3x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.

Schematics That Unlock Hexolite Armor

The Technology tree hands you the plain Hexolite Armor at level 59 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.

Fastest route. The fastest route is sea base enemy camp loot in the Feybreak, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Hexolite Armor schematic works out at roughly 24 containers against the 47 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.

Alternatives and Upgrades

Step up from here and you get Lightweight Hexolite Armor at 780 defense; step down and it is V2 Armor at 750. Weigh the jump against what the next tier costs you before committing the resources.
