Where to Find Emerald

1 Pal drops Emerald when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.

If you would rather just buy it, the cheapest seller is Desert Shop at 40,000 Gold, and 3 other shops stock it too.

It also shows up as world loot — chests in the Desert, chests in the Mount Obsidian and enemy camp boss stashes in the Desert, and 5 more pools besides, usually 1–2 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.

The one Pal that carries Emerald does not live on the main map at all. Tetroise Primo spawns only on the World Tree, across 40 points that split almost evenly between Lacrymal Shoal, Gilded City Ruins and Within the Seal — pick whichever of the three you can warp closest to and sweep outward. The same 40 points are active by day and by night, so there is nothing to be gained by waiting for dark.

How to Get Emerald — Dropped By 1 Pal

Using Emerald Well

Emerald feeds no recipe. It appears in no Technology entry, no bench craft and no structure cost, which makes selling it its entire purpose — nothing you hoard it for later will ever ask for it.

Because merchants stock it at 40,000 Gold and it exists purely to be sold back, buying one is always a loss. Treat every shop listing for Emerald as a price tag on the ones you already carry, not an item to pick up.
