Beam Launcher

Weapon · WeaponRocketLauncher4

Puts out a high-density beam that detonates across a wide area. Sustained fire runs it hot, so overheating becomes a real concern.

Beam Launcher is the strongest rocket launcher in the game by attack, at 16,800.

It feeds no other recipe, which makes it a terminal item: craft what you will actually carry and stop there.

At 30 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 10,286,160 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Where to Find Beam Launcher

The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is fishing in the World Tree at 0.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.

There is a route to the Legendary schematic that the table above cannot show you: the Hard Mode rematch against Auri and Shaolong hands it over on roughly one clear in ten. Tower reward tables are not part of the loot data our world-loot rows are built from, so every source listed on this page is a chest, a fishing spot, a dig or the relic recycler — and all of them sit under half a per cent. Ten-ish clears against several hundred container rolls is not a close comparison. The rematch only opens once you have put the pair down on Normal Mode, and the repeat clears keep paying in large lotuses for the permanent stat elixirs, so the runs that miss the schematic are not wasted.

Among the routes on this page, ordinary World Tree water is the best one, and the fancier pool is the worse one. Counting the fuse ladder — five of a tier make one of the next at the drafting table, so 125 Schematic 1s equal one Schematic 4 — the four tiers in each pool are worth, per roll of that slot, about 0.79 Legendary-equivalents per hundred casts in normal World Tree water, 0.43 at the treasure fishing spots, 0.41 per relic through the recycler and 0.26 per tier 5 dig. Those are shares of a slot's rolls rather than per-container odds, but they are measured the same way, so the ranking holds. Relic grade changes nothing here: Decayed through Glistening carry the identical 11.43 / 2.29 / 0.43 / 0.14 spread across the four tiers, so feed the recycler whatever you have most of.

The dig route is the only one you have to supply yourself, and tier 5 maps are not rare: sea base enemy camp boss stashes and the Sunreach Isle's camp boss stashes give one every time that slot rolls, Sakurajima camp bosses half the time, and grade 5 chests in the Feybreak and the Sunreach Isle a fifth of the time, with technology-book stands in the Viking ruins and rank 2 wreck salvage as thin extras. Worth knowing before you commit to digging: that pool starts at Schematic 2, so a dig can never be your first copy of the family, and the schematic has to be in your own inventory when you reach the Ancient Workbench — one sitting in a base chest will not put the Legendary build on the menu.

Every Tier of Beam Launcher

The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: attack runs 14000 to 16800, a 1.2x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.

Ammunition Beam Launcher Uses

Beam Launcher fires Beam Launcher Ammo, and nothing else — running dry mid-fight is the usual way this weapon lets you down, so keep the recipe unlocked before you rely on it.

Schematics That Unlock Beam Launcher

The Technology tree hands you the plain Beam Launcher at level 80 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.

Fastest route. The fastest route is fishing in the World Tree, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Beam Launcher schematic works out at roughly 125 containers against the 275 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.

Alternatives and Upgrades

Nothing in the rocket launcher class beats it on attack. The next one down is Beam Launcher at 16,100, so if you are still using that, this is the upgrade worth the materials.
