Beam Scatter
Weapon · WeaponShotgun4★A beam weapon built for close quarters. It throws compressed energy out in a wide, scattering blast.
Beam Scatter is 6th of 40 shotguns by attack, at 609 against the 1,400 of Prototype Shotgun.
Nothing is crafted from it — it is an end product, so anything you make is meant to be used rather than banked as a component.
Details
At 20 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 5,879,280 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Where to Find Beam Scatter
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is fishing in the World Tree at 0.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
The route that actually gets this weapon built is missing from every table on this page: the Hard Mode rematch against Zoe and Grizzbolt, back at the very first tower on the map, pays out the Legendary schematic on roughly one clear in ten. Tower reward tables are not among the loot files our world-loot rows come from, so each source listed for the schematic is a chest, a fishing pull, a dig or the relic recycler, and the strongest of them — ordinary World Tree fishing water — hands over a finished Legendary copy 0.363% of the time. Count the fusion ladder in its favour, five of a tier making one of the next at the drafting table, and that water is still worth only about 0.8 Legendary-equivalents per hundred pulls. Ten-odd clears against a hundred and twenty-five casts is not a close comparison, and no other pool on the list beats the fishing.
What the 10% costs is a fight, not a grind. The rematch runs at level 72 with 464,000 HP and takes only a tenth of the damage you deal, inside a five-minute timer, with a Syndicate Gunner and Crusher dropped in alongside the boss — the largest effective health bar in the tower class, despite being the tower most players clear first on Normal. Grizzbolt is pure Electric, so Ground is the only element worth bringing, and the door does not open until Auri and Shaolong has fallen, which is the ladder-wide unlock rather than anything specific to this tower. Clears that miss the schematic still return Speed Lotus (L) for the permanent work-speed elixir and Training Crystals that skip a Pal level outright, so the misses pay for themselves. One piece of fine print before you make the trip back: the schematic has to sit in your own inventory when you stand at the Ancient Workbench — a copy left in a base chest keeps the Legendary build off the menu.
Every Tier of Beam Scatter
The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: attack runs 508 to 609, a 1.2x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.
| Rarity | Item | Attack | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0★ | Beam Scatter | 508 | 950 |
| 1★ | Beam Scatter | 533 | 1425 |

Ammunition Beam Scatter Uses
Beam Scatter fires Beam Scatter Ammo, and nothing else — running dry mid-fight is the usual way this weapon lets you down, so keep the recipe unlocked before you rely on it.
| Ammo | Yield | Craft cost |
|---|---|---|
| ×10 | Bio Battery ×1, Paloxite Ingot ×3, Soralite Ingot ×2 |
Schematics That Unlock Beam Scatter
The Technology tree hands you the plain Beam Scatter at level 75 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The fastest route is fishing in the World Tree, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Beam Scatter schematic works out at roughly 125 containers against the 275 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |

Alternatives and Upgrades
Step up from here and you get Prototype Shotgun at 1,167 attack; step down and it is Beam Scatter at 584. That gap is the honest measure of whether an upgrade is worth the materials right now.
